It's A CLINKER!!!!!!

That's a line from one of my favorite Christmas movies...for those of you who have never seen "A Christmas Story" MUST go and buy it, rent it, burrow it!!! It is fantastic!!! This movie leaves me with the warm and fuzzy Christmas feeling..... And what??? you might ask is a CLINKER!! It's a strand of lights on my Christmas tree that likes to turn off......and then turn back on..............................then it turns off..................................and turns back on!!!! These are not twinkle lights...they are not supposed to do this....LOL...
Every year, it has become a tradition, there is always a strand of lights that burns out....turns on and off....etc. And it always happens just a couple of weeks before Christmas....One time a strand burned out on us two nights before Christmas eve....it never fails.....so there we are running out getting a new set.......cutting the old set off so we can remove it and trying to place a new strand on the tree between all the ornaments on the tree......
So today, there I am sitting, watching TV and from the corner of my eye I see a flash....now at this point I'm not sure what it is or if I even saw anything....and then there it goes again.....is it just my imagination?????? NOOOOOOOOO...It's a CLINKER!!!!!
It's just way to funny!!!!! You just gotta laugh!!

Well anyway here's a picture of my pretty tree outside(who's lights are perfect)buried in the snow...It looks so nice and magical.....The picture was taken from inside the house, that's why there's a little glare...

Hugs,
Kristina

Um, no it's not. A clinker is the incombustible residue, fused into an irregular lump, that remains after the combustion of coal. Hence why he screams "It's a clinker! Then runs down towards the basement, where most coal furnaces we're located during the 1940's. Coal furnaces we're very common in the USA during this period, and with as cheap as that guy was, they for sure had a coal furnace.
